This month, we are proud to celebrate Kristy Roberts’ second anniversary with Culture Spark and the thoughtful leadership perspective she brings to our clients and team every day.
With years of experience leading HR and culture initiatives from within organizations, Kristy brings a grounded, firsthand understanding of what it takes to build strong teams, support leaders, and create intentional workplace cultures. Her ability to balance empathy with practical guidance has become a meaningful part of the Culture Spark experience for the clients she serves.
As Kristy reflects on her journey, one belief continues to shape her work: culture does not happen by accident.
“Genuine culture doesn’t simply come to your doorstep because you list it in your company mission statement… You have to want it. You have to build it. You have to be intentional.”
That intentionality is something Kristy has experienced from both sides of the work. Having spent years in internal HR leadership roles, she understands the day-to-day realities leaders face — the urgency, the competing priorities, and the pressure to solve challenges quickly.
That perspective now informs how she partners with clients.
“As a client, I tended to want a quick answer immediately and felt an urgency with each question I asked to resolve it and check it off my list. Now on the inside, I feel like I can help provide a balance to concerns and their timing — what is truly critical versus what is allowed time.”
This ability to help leaders find clarity amid urgency is one of the many ways Kristy supports healthier, more sustainable decision-making.
At the core of her philosophy is a simple but powerful truth: people come first.
“Focus on your people. They’re more than just a number on a headcount spreadsheet. Focus on the basics to build a strong foundation.”
Kristy also believes that trust and honesty in the workplace begin with openness.
For her, vulnerability is not weakness — it is what creates space for learning, connection, and stronger teams.
“When someone truly owns their vulnerability, it removes the stigma or discomfort they or others might feel.”
That people-first, trust-centered mindset is exactly what she hopes every client carries with them after working with Culture Spark.
“My goal is for every client to feel that we filled a meaningful space for them — and they gained something in return, whether that be confidence or a renewed sense of appreciation and comfort in HR.”
Over the past two years, Kristy has helped clients strengthen their leadership foundations, navigate people challenges with confidence, and create cultures built with intention.
We are incredibly grateful for the care, perspective, and steady leadership she brings to Culture Spark.
Happy 2nd anniversary, Kristy! Here’s to many more…
